Join the URC for Earth Day Brunch to Celebrate Four Local Conservation Heroes
On Sunday, April 21 the Utah Rivers Council & Utah Open Lands are hosting our annual Earth Day Brunch at Squatters downtown. This year we will celebrate some of the individuals who helped protect what is now known as the Galena Soo'nkahni Preserve on the Jordan River.
Through the efforts of the Utah Rivers Council and Utah Open Lands, the land is now preserved through a perpetual conservation easement. Our groups want to honor the individual sacrifices and independent voices that stopped the irrevocable loss of this 3,000 year old archeological site and vital part of the Jordan River ecology.
