Utah Rivers Council Water Wise Makeover helps you or someone you know save money and make your parking strip look great!

      It’s Easy to Win!

Utah Rivers Council will give one lucky household a new xeriscape landscape in their parking strip absolutely free.  We will replace the grass parking strip (the area between your sidewalk and street) with a beautiful xeriscape of water-wise plants at no cost to you! 

Generously sponsored by Swire Coca-Cola, Landscape Construction Supply, and The Home Depot, Utah Rivers Council will provide professional design and labor along with materials such as boulders, shrubs, perennials and mulch all for free!

Who Qualifies for the Contest?

Many Utahns care about water conservation and want to reduce their water use footprint.  By replacing thirsty grass with drought tolerant plants Utahns can use less water and still have a beautiful looking yard.  Unfortunately not all Utahns have the money or physical capability to do this.

Tell us your story and enter to win!  If you or someone you know has encountered difficulty and is having a hard time with yard upkeep or paying bills in this tough economy we want to hear from you.  To enter to win your FREE Utah Rivers Council Water Wise Makeover, just follow the Instructions and fill out the Application and Waiver Forms , and return them to Utah Rivers Council.

Selection Process

Applications will be accepted through September 7, 2010.  Submissions will be kept confidential and reviewed by our judging committee.  The winner of the Utah Rivers Council Water-Wise Makeover will be notified before the announcement on September 21, 2010.

Certain restrictions apply.  Special preference will be given to household with grass parking strips which are eligible for replacement.  Cement and other hardscaped parking strips are not eligible.  Other restrictions include turf size and access limitations.
